Reservoir Dogs
Joe Cabot assembles a team, including his son, to rob a large diamond store. The team, named “Reservoir Dogs,” uses color names as code names. Among the crew is Joe’s son, and the heist plans are meticulously laid out, covering even the finest details. However, the robbery does not go as planned. When they arrive at the store, they fall into a trap and realize that there is a cop among them. They become uncertain about “who will draw their weapon on whom” and “who to suspect.” Guns are drawn, and the scene quickly turns into a bloodbath. Some of the robbers take refuge in a warehouse, where another confrontation awaits.
Reservoir Dogs, or as it is originally titled, is the first film by American director Quentin Tarantino.
Written by Tarantino himself, the film brought an unconventional style to cinema. With its graphic violence, almost meaningless dialogues, and complex narrative style, it can be considered a precursor to the director’s later works. The renowned actor Harvey Keitel appears in this film as both an actor and a producer.
