Requiem for a Dream

The film tells the story of four drug addicts. Everything starts off as they wish. For Harry and Tyrone, who decide to make a living by selling drugs, everything begins smoothly. They earn a lot of money. At the same time, Sara Goldfarb has the chance to appear on television, which has always been her dream. She frequently dreams of greeting the audience in a red dress on TV. She finds the red dress, but it doesn’t fit her. Determined to make the dress fit, she is willing to do whatever it takes. This is when everything starts to unravel.

Sara begins a strict diet and, upon her neighbor’s recommendation, visits a doctor. The doctor prescribes her pills, which make Sara unable to sit still and constantly keep her working. Meanwhile, Harry, whose business is going well, buys his mother a new television. When he takes it home and sees his mother’s condition, Harry is deeply saddened and tells her she should never use the pills again.
