The Place Beyond the Pines

Luke is a talented motorcycle rider who travels from city to city with a stunt carnival troupe. When he returns to New York, he encounters his former girlfriend, Romina, and learns that she has given birth to their son, Jason. Luke decides to settle down and build a new life with his family. He begins working with Robin, a mechanic, who quickly recognizes Luke’s skills and offers him a partnership for a series of bank heists. This proposal will put Luke, whose sole aim is to provide a better life for his wife and child, in conflict with an ambitious police officer, Avery Cross.
