Léon: The Professional
A perfect killer. An innocent girl. They have nothing to lose but each other. The man moves silently, killing emotionlessly. He disappears without a trace. Only one person knows his weakness… a 12-year-old girl.
Mathilda, a 12-year-old girl living in New York, shares a miserable life with her stepfamily. Her father hides drugs for a corrupt cop, Norman Stansfield, who plays both sides. The only thing preventing Mathilda from escaping is her little brother. One day, when Stansfield and his men kill her entire family for no apparent reason, Mathilda happens to survive while shopping and manages to hide in Léon’s apartment when she desperately needs safety.
In a short time, the 12-year-old girl discovers Léon’s extraordinary profession and asks the professional killer for help to avenge her little brother. Léon, inexperienced in fatherhood and friendship, desperately tries to keep Mathilda out of trouble. Ultimately, the story, revolving around a killer, a corrupt cop, and an innocent little girl, culminates in one of director Luc Besson’s best films.
